Washington Post Executive Editor Resigns, CEO Tells Staff “People Are Not Reading Your Stuff”

Washington Post Executive Editor Sally Buzbee resigned suddenly on Sunday, ending her three-year stint directing the newspaper’s increasingly left-leaning coverage. While exact reasons for her exit from the company were not provided, Buzbee had recently clashed with new Post CEO William Lewis over planned restructuring in the newsroom.

Following Buzbee’s departure, Lewis reportedly confronted staffers with an uncomfortable truth: “People are not reading your stuff.”
