YouTube Description
as posted by the channelJulian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, has been at the center of a decade-long legal battle over his role in publishing classified U.S. military documents. Initially charged with conspiring to hack a computer, Assange's case evolved to include charges under the U.S. Espionage Act for obtaining and disseminating classified national defense information. After years of fighting extradition, Assange has now agreed to plead guilty to one count of conspiring to unlawfully obtain and distribute classified information. As part of a deal with U.S. prosecutors, he will be sentenced to time served, effectively ending his legal saga. Assange is now a free man and has returned to his home in Australia with his family.
