As we move forward in time, it's natural to wonder about the rate of progress and advancement in society. Some may argue that progress is slow and that meaningful change takes a long time to happen. However, history has shown that more advanced societies are able to progress at a faster rate than less advanced ones.

For example, consider the difference in technological advancement between the 19th and 15th centuries. It's no surprise that humanity made far more advances in the 19th century than in the 15th - the 19th century was a more advanced time period with more knowledge and better technology. In comparison, 15th century humanity simply couldn't keep up.

This trend of faster progress in more advanced societies can also be seen by comparing the average rate of advancement between 1985 and 2015 to the rate between 1955 and 1985. It's clear that the former period saw much more change and progress than the latter, due to the fact that the world was more advanced in the later time period.

In short, advances are getting bigger and happening more quickly as society becomes more advanced. While it's important to be patient and recognize that progress takes time, it's also important to remember that the rate of progress tends to increase as we move forward.
