YouTube Description
as posted by the channelMeant for a temporary purpose, destined to be destroyed – today they are timeless masterpieces. Conserved in the Vatican collections are extremely rare clay caste models made by Bernini and Algardi, two protagonists of the 17th century sculpting scene. The materials they are made of are crumbly and extremely delicate. They were intended only as models prior to casting the definitive bronze works. Instead, they survived history. On the models created by Bernini, an imprint of the Maestro’s fingerprint remains.
