10:10Now PlayingOn this episode of VICE Talks Film, we meet Ben Wheatley, one of the UK’s most exciting living directors in the build up to the release of his adaptation of JG Ballard’s seminal dystopian novel “High Rise”.
Wheatley has built a reputation for uncompromising and experimental independent films since his critically acclaimed genre-bending crime drama Down Terrace. Since then he has blended drama, comedy, social realism and horror at will throughout his films.
UK film editor Hannah Ewens spoke with him about architecture, terrorism, and how his comedic and violent viral videos he made when he started out influence his work today.
