as posted by the channelSkateboarding has always been an independent, isolated and resourceful activity. Now that it is not possible to go skate in a crew, we shared a call to action on VICE's social media, announcing a skate competition for a variety of prizes. Skaters were challenged to think beyond their normal terrain while being confined to the sanctuary of their homes & dwellings or a completely deserted location.
VICE’s Taji Ameen will kick it off with a trick and the guidelines. Each undeniable legend in skateboarding, the judging panel composed of Alex Corporan, Billy Rohan, Chris Pastras, and Stephanie Tonnoir.
To support the event activity itself a number of high-exposure partnering brands are supplying products, organized by Mike A. Cohen, LifeValet. Each will further drive amplification of the contest with the promotion of involvement through their respective social media channels, driving interest back to their channels and increasing public engagement.
