YouTube Description
as posted by the channelDjibouti has always been one of the poorest countries on the planet. Nonetheless, things are changing. Djibouti is located in one of the World’s busiest spots: the red sea. 1 out of 10 trading ships passes though this area on its way to the Suez Canal. And Djibouti happens to be the only peaceful country in the region. In fact, it is the safest country in all across Africa because it has military bases from many other countries, including USA, China, Japan, France and Spain, among others.
The government has already created a special economic zone that mirrors the Chinese regulations and it’s meant to attract lots of companies and foreign investment. Aaaand, Bruce Dickinson—Iron Maiden’s vocalist and CEO of Cardiff Aviation—has decided to collaborate with Djibouti’s government to create their own airlines.
In other words… this tiny African country is meant to become a new Dubai… unless the government keeps with their usual corruption and authoritarian rule. So what is going on Djibouti? What are their chances to leave poverty and become a model for Africa’s development? In this video, we will answer to all of those questions.
