These figures were much lower some decades ago. This antagonism can is also present in parliamentary politics, where it is getting harder and harder to reach a bipartisan agreement to pass any law.
Despite what many media report, this phenomenon traces back way before Donald Trump became president. It cannot be explained with the introduction of social media. In fact, this trend towards polarization traces back to the 80s.
So then... why is America getting so polarized? Why is this a problem? In this video, we answer these questions.
