Mongolia, the second largest landlocked country in the world, is as inhospitable as it is hostile. Winters can reach minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Obviously, life in such conditions is not particularly easy. To a large extent that is why this country is one of the most sparsely populated and poorest in the world. However, its luck could be, or rather, was about to change. And all thanks to the enormous treasures that Mongolia hides beneath its surface.
However, the combination of Dutch disease, bad political planning and widespread vote buying put paid to the dream of becoming the Dubai of Asia. In this video we tell you all the details about one of the least known economies in the world.
