On 5 October 2021, all Facebook applications crashed. For a few hours, many people couldn't even connect to the internet. Luckily, both internet connections and Facebook group services recovered hours later. But this crash showed how dangerous it could be to lose the internet.
And, as alarmist as it sounds, the chances of this happening are very high: we are talking about cyberattacks. In recent years, cyberattacks have multiplied, and there seems to be no easy solution in sight. Considering that we are becoming more and more dependent on the internet, cybersecurity is one of the biggest threats we face today.
