Ukraine dreams of regaining the Crimean peninsula. But the United States doubts that this is possible... or even desirable. Putin has made it clear that this territory is his red line for pushing the nuclear button (maybe this is yet another bluff or maybe he is serious).
For Russia, this territory has a very important strategic and symbolic value. At the same time, Ukraine cannot accept that it should remain part of Russia: at least not under the current conditions. In fact, Zelenskiy has said several times that "everything began with Crimea, and it will end with Crimea". Ukrainian society is with him.
The real question is: Is it really feasible to take Crimea back? Why is this peninsula so important for Russia? Why is the United States so hesitant on this particular issue? In this video we answer these questions.
