Aside from being extremely cool, this is also a public service announcement. It is easy to think that a bunch of sparklers will behave like a single sparkler, but they really don't, and people (especially young people) really have to bear this in mind when experimenting. This was done outdoors, on stone - and I had a fire extinguisher handy for maximum safety (although I am really familiar with how sparklers behave).
