The most important of which is as relates to the media's tendency to over-simplify to the point of total misrepresentation. Liebeck v. McDonald's was a turning point, both in terms of what constitutes frivolous lawsuit, how media is supposed to report on otherwise complex questions, and the responsibility of the general population to fact check on their own.
