YouTube Description
as posted by the channelTokmak is a small town in Zaporizhya region, where locals didn’t believe in occupation. There was no reason: the city had no military bases, nor valuable infrastructural objects. When the war broke out, the locals were dead sure – russian troops would pass by the city and won’t stay. It did not happen that way: russian invaders could not move forward. So, they occupied Tokmak – Lidiya’s native town.
We tell the story of Lidia within the framework of SVOI project. At the time of the recording, Lydia and her daughter were living in a shelter for immigrants in Lviv. But sirens and loud noises did not make them feel safe. Those unbearable sounds reminded them of the night they were waiting for evacuation in the open air, watching the russians to shell their city with “Grad” MLRS.
