9:21Now PlayingUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump recently had a phone conversation. The politicians discussed the situation in Ukraine and the importance of resolving the conflict with Russia. Boris Pinkus, a member of the Republican Party, told Channel 24 that the conversation between Zelenskyy and Trump went well. He believes that the Republican presidential candidate is committed to achieving a just peace in Ukraine. Boris Pinkus noted that Trump said two very important things to Zelenskyy during the call. First, he declared that claims suggesting he would sacrifice Ukrainian territories to achieve peace with Russia if he becomes president are false. Second, he emphasized that during any negotiations with the aggressor country, the Republican Party would be obliged to honor the Ukrainians who sacrificed their lives in the fight for independence.
