8:05Now PlayingDefence Ministry spokesman Major General Patrick Ryder said that the Pentagon has not changed its policy on Ukraine's restrictions on ‘deep strikes’ against Russia. ‘Ukrainians can use the security assistance provided by the United States to defend themselves against cross-border attacks, that is, to fire back. But as for long-range, deep strikes against Russia, our policy has not changed.’ He also noted that the US is not at war with Russia and does not seek conflict. ‘We're just supporting a democratic country... and giving (Ukrainians) the opportunity to defend themselves,’ Ryder said.
