8:17Now PlayingUS Secretary of State Antony Blinken has announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth more than $700 million. Ukraine will also receive a package of aid from the UK, as announced by Foreign Secretary David Lammy. It will amount to £600 million. The funds will be used to restore energy supply capacity after Russia's attacks. According to Lammy, the British government intends to provide Ukraine with hundreds of missiles for air defence, tens of thousands of additional artillery rounds and more armoured vehicles. The arms are to be delivered by the end of the year. Blinken and Lemieux made the announcement in Kyiv on September 11. Both officials emphasised that their governments have consistently supported Ukraine on its path to victory in the war started by Russia.
