The Russian representative at the Security Council meeting did not respond to this comment, and the meeting was closed. Later, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken confirmed the information about 8,000 North Korean troops at a briefing. Former SSU officer Ivan Stupak discussed the news on Channel 24. The head of Polish diplomacy, Radoslaw Sikorski, hopes that NATO and the Allies, including the United States, will change their position and agree to shoot down Russian missiles over Ukrainian territory by allied air defence forces.
This was stated by Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Pawel Wronski in a comment to an Ukrinform correspondent.
