38:05Now PlayingOn November 5, citizens of the United States of America elected the 47th president of the country. The winner of the election was Donald Trump, a representative of the Republican Party. He defeated Kamala Harris, a representative of the Democratic Party and current Vice President of the United States in Joe Biden's administration. During a speech at his headquarters in Florida, in which Donald Trump announced his election victory, he also promised to put an end to wars in the world. He did not specifically mention the war in Ukraine, but Donald Trump had previously said that he would end the war by simply talking to the presidents of Ukraine and Russia. During the televised debate, Trump criticised the spending of billions of dollars on Ukraine's defence, saying that Kyiv ‘will not win the war’. He also said that Putin's conditions for peace talks were ‘unacceptable’ and believed that Putin would not have invaded Ukraine if he, Trump, had been in the White House. Channel 24 host Olha Bilan talked about all this in a joint stream with journalist Dmytro Gordon.
