Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Wednesday he will remain in close contact with Ukraine’s negotiating team ahead of a new round of talks with Russia aimed at ending the four-year-old all-out war. "We agreed that I will remain in touch with our team. We will hear what they have brought and what they are ready for — what compromises the Russian side is prepared to make, not only what signals are expected from Ukraine,” he said. “Our group knows from me that dialogue must be sought. But no one is going to surrender.” Zelenskyy spoke at a briefing on Tuesday alongside NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, visiting Kyiv in a show of support. Zelenskyy met the NATO chief and urged allies to send more air defense supplies, thereby bringing “maximum pressure” to bear on Russia to end its full-scale invasion. Rutte conceeded that Russia's overnight bombardment of Ukraine that deployed a record number of 32 ballistic missiles, was a "really bad signal" ahead of the talks.
