In his address, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky summed up the visit to Lviv by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and a government delegation. The main focus was defense cooperation: Ukraine is preparing to expand its combat aviation with Gripen fighter jets and is working to strengthen protection against ballistic missiles. The head of state emphasized that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin must not be given any opportunity to take advantage of global instability or oil prices. A strategic goal has been set to create an industrial base in Ukraine for the production of air defense systems and missiles under Western licenses. The President also took part in coordinating security in the Strait of Hormuz, where Ukraine offers its experience in defeating maritime terror in the Black Sea.
