Russia is not ready to engage constructively. The West has no right to hand Russia at the negotiating table what the Russians failed to achieve on the battlefield. The Russian regime is weakening. Putin has utterly failed to deliver on what he promised his own people: economic development, physical security within Russia, and freedom of travel. One should not expect an open uprising from the general population against Putin. However, due to economic hardships and uncertainty, discontent will begin to rise from below and will eventually reach Putin's inner circle — which may trigger change.
