Zelenskyy was speaking to Ukrainian media following a meeting with the heads of leading industrialized nations in Evian-les-Bains, France, on the first full day of the Group of Seven summit. Leaders gathered on Tuesday to discuss Russia's war in Ukraine, along with a tentative agreement struck by U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at ending the conflict with Iran. Zelenskyy said Ukraine had demonstrated leadership in various areas, including military technology and readiness to end the war. "Politically, Ukraine is ready for ending the war, ceasefire. Russia is not demonstrating any serious activity in any of those directions," Zelenskyy said. Zelenskyy and Trump also held talks on the sidelines of the summit. Zelenskyy posted photos of the meeting on social media, writing that “it is always important to coordinate positions.”
