Initially, Reid Moon didn’t suspect anything unusual, but when news broke internationally about the stolen book complete with police and FBI involvement, he realized he was holding the missing title page, identifiable by distinctive “snake bite” ink drops. Driven by conscience and his personal connection with the victim, he contacted Helen and eventually worked with the police and FBI, even letting them wiretap his phone to record a confession from the thief.
