YouTube Description
as posted by the channelWant to get in shape without putting strain on your joints? Try the 7-Minute Gentle Workout, a new routine from The Washington Post that can help you build aerobic fitness and muscular strength. It incorporates the science-backed principles of brief, intense interval training with low-impact exercises such as step jacks and chair bicycle crunches. The workout was designed for The Post by exercise physiologist Chris Jordan, the creator of the original 7-minute workout.
The workout should be doable by almost everybody who isn’t physically disabled, Jordan said. There’s no jumping or other highimpact motion, and several of the movements are chairbased. Aim to complete as many repetitions of each exercise as you safely can in 30 seconds, Jordan said, so the effort works your muscles and raises your heart rate and breathing. Check with your doctor before starting any new exercise routine. Subscribe to The Washington Post on YouTube
