It turned out to be the first 9 minutes and a little more additional footage that had aired with IMAX showings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, shot with a camcorder.
Legally, we can't link you to the audience-shot footage, but we can show you screen shots to help you get a better picture of what happened. All in all, the prologue for Star Trek Into Darkness is explosive, suspenseful, ominous...and answers very few of our many questions. Kim Horcher and John Iadarola (Host, TYT University) give their impressions based on the footage we have so far. Will there be death? Romance? Phasers? Probably. Will it be awesome? Almost definitely.
