0:40Now PlayingHistory being made. Remember when I said “we work with bad guys”? This man used to be one of those bad guys. A gang member, drug dealer, criminal. He decided to come to our side of the street.
Helped us shut down the dope house he made his living from, then he let us help him start a legitimate car washing business.
This is his first time back in that dope house since he got on a better path.
For years, this house drove every bit of instability on the south Memphis block in Soulsville where it sits.
The day we shut it down, violent crime on that street ceased - and a year later, all crime has improved dramatically.
We are renovating this house to provide a home to a young mother in recovery where she will be able to be reunited with her children that her addiction separated her from for far too long.
The man in this video was present for my own “rock bottom” and he understands more than almost anyone how big of a miracle what is happening in South Memphis truly is.
A miracle made possible by wefightmonsters.org/donate!
