In this video Wesley, a writer, researcher, and speaker with Power to Change's Ultimate Questions speaking team shares his personal testimony about being a paraplegic and experiencing a miraculous healing. Just before Wesley's 12th birthday he was diagnosed with acute transverse myelitis, a rare condition that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Although he was told that he would most likely never walk and probably never run again, one month from the day that he woke up and was paralyzed from the waist down he woke up on a Saturday morning walked over to his wheelchair and sat down.
Wesley went on to have a successful athletics career in high school and with the York University track & field team. Having the privilege to be part of 2 U Sports (formerly Canadian Interuniversity Sports) national gold medal 4x200m relay teams. Along with being part of the overall mens track & field champions in 2014. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Toronto's Wycliffe college and regularly speaks at conferences, churches, and on University campuses on a variety of topics relating to faith, worldview issues, and apologetics.
