In this episode, Sal Mercogliano - maritime historian at Campbell University and former merchant mariner - discusses Russia's decision to withdraw from the Black Sea Grain Initiative and then their return. The background of this was the Unmanned Surface and Aerial Vehicle attacks on the port of Sevastopol on Oct 29, 2022 by the Ukrainians,. The Russians initially believed the attack was staged from a grain convoy but a subsequent investigation determined it came from the port of Ochakiev, leading to the attack on a pair of commercial tugs and barges, which may be the means by which the Ukrainians deployed the drones.
