In this episode, Sal Mercogliano - maritime historian at Campbell University (@campbelledu) and former merchant mariner - discusses the barges that broke loose on the Ohio River and one striking the Kentucky-Indiana Railroad bridge and the three hitting the Ohio Fall Dam; one of the barges was loaded with 1,400 tons of Methanol. One of the barges have been removed from the dam; how the incident occurred and what are the current salvage plans.
