as posted by the channelA DC8 operated by Fine Air Services, Inc. as Flight 101, crashed shortly after takeoff from Miami International Airport, while en route to the Dominican Republic, resulting in the death of four passengers and a motorcyclist on the ground. KCAL 9 News interviewed airline disaster attorney and mechanical engineer, Paul Hedlund, about air safety in light of this crash and two others in the past two weeks. Mr. Hedlund discussed the service difficulty reports he obtained about the DC8 and discussed problems with cracking bulk heads, disabled webbing designed to hold cargo in transit, aging aircraft and shifting cargo.
