as posted by the channelOn this episode of Cut to the Chase:, Attorney Stephanie Sherman from Baum Hedlund comes on to discuss the lawsuit she just filed on behalf of some of the victims of the gun massacre last September in Uvalde killing 19 students and 2 teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. The incident was witnessed by several students and school personnel, whose lives will never be the same. Salvador Rolando Ramos had just turned 18 when he purchased the AR-15 assault rifles and a staggering amount of ammunition with just a background check and $40. The lawsuit includes claims against the School, the Law Enforcement, and the Gun Manufacturer-Daniel Defense. Daniel Defense was advertising their A-15 as a military style weapon and directing their advertisements to male teenagers on such platforms like Call of Duty. Gun manufacturers have legal protection from liability, but a recent lawsuit against Remington arising from Sandy Hook has shown a sliver of possibilities in holding the manufacturers responsible for their action. To get full compensation for the victims, this lawsuit filed in the Texas Courts essentially is a combination of Civil Rights-failure to train claims and maybe even some policy and practice type of claims.
