as posted by the channel►Timothy Loranger, aviation attorney and senior partner at Wisner Baum, spoke with CBS News about the latest Osprey crash off of Yakushima Island in southern Japan and the Osprey’s struggling track record. Eight Air Force Special Operations Command service members died in the Nov. 29, 2023 crash.
Loranger represents four families who lost military members in another Osprey crash near Glamis, California during a training exercise on June 8, 2022. Investigators determined the crash was caused by a mechanical failure of the gearbox, but they don't know why it failed.
Mr. Loranger (Marine Corps vet, former pilot and aircraft mechanic) () discussed concerns about the Osprey’s safety record and the number of crashes the aircraft has had over the years.
