This is a Court TV documentary style show that follows 2 former detectives investigating the Darlie Routier case. The Routier case is about a Texas mother named Darlie who was convicted of murdering 2 of her 3 children on June 6th, 1996. Darlie's account of what happened that night was that her and her 2 older sons, Damon who was 5 and Devon who was 6 decided to sleep in the family room that night. In the early morning hours she woke up to an attack already in progress with both of her children receiving fatal stab wounds before she could even get off the couch. When she did get up she instantly started fighting with this unknown intruder who stabbed her in her arm, slit her throat and left massive bruises all up and down her arms. All along she was screaming for her husband Darin to come down stairs and help, but once he got there the intruder had already fled, leaving a brutal scene of cruelty behind him. However, the police have their own theory of what happened that night, they say that there was no intruder and Darlie herself did this to her children and inflicted the injuries upon herself in an attempt to make herself appear like just another victim. In the end Darlie Routier was convicted of killing her children and sentenced to death. However, many people believe that she truly is innocent and are fighting to clear her name, overturn her conviction and bring the real killer of the Routier boys to justice.
