In this program, the national and international food and beverage market was investigated through the lens of one of Irans prominent beverage producing companies.
The food and beverage industry is probably the most important part of Irans economy. Irans agrifood and beverages sector accounts for 20 percent of Irans non-oil revenue. Additionally, this sector of Irans industries accounts for 15 percent of the countrys industrial employment.
Much of the equipment and machinery necessary for the production of food and beverages in Iran are locally manufactured. Nearly all food products that are produced in Iran is made from raw material from domestic agricultural cultivation.
Iran exports its agrifood and beverage products to nearly all of its neighbors. But also, it exports these goods to countries in Central Asia as well as a couple of European countries such as Germany.
