One of the reasons small deeds are so appreciated is because the person doing such a deed doesn’t think much of the deed itself, but is thinking highly of the One for whom the deed is done. Also there is an expectation of the wealthy to give charity; we usually don’t have such expectations of those who have less to give. The question is what is your expectation of yourself. More importantly, what is Allah’s expectation of you?
