Jason Bahbak Mohaghegh, philosopher, translator, associate professor of comparative literature at Babson College and the author of several books that thematically address topics of mania, apparition, violence, cruelty, madness, silence, apocalypticism, demonology, the literature and art forms of antiquity, modern art, poetry, architecture, inventive explorations of eastern and western literary forms, subjects, and ideas.
Jason joins Zer0 in this interview to discuss Night 2: A Philosophy of the Last World. The first volume, Night: A Philosophy of After Dark was released by Zer0 in 2020. Night 2 work engages with night as a philosophical framework by which the structures and discourse tied to enlightenment, those of 'truth, absolutism, and idealism' are disrupted by their conceptual foils.
