55:04Now PlayingIn this interview, Kenny speaks with Jamie Allinson, co-founder with Charlotte Bence, Magpie Corvid, China Miéville, Richard Seymour and Rosie Warren of the important Salvage Collective. Salvage was formed in the context of growing discontent among members of the Socialist Workers’ Party with the organisation itself, and now publishes one of the leading journals for contemporary commentary on environmental politics and Marxism, describing themselves as being “for a communism of the ruins.” As well as this, Kenny and Jamie discuss Salvage’s latest book, ‘The Tragedy of the Worker: Towards the Proletarocene’, and Jamie’s independent work on middle eastern politics and the meaning of contemporary counter-revolution.
