Summary

In today's live broadcast, Joseph Z teaches about the Wisemen and their relationship with Jesus. He discusses the origin of the Magi, their connection to the prophet Daniel, and how they learned of the birth of a king.

Joseph explains that the wise men are historically known as the Magi, a Greek term meaning "the powerful" or "great ones." The Bible describes them as astrologers who could read the stars and had the authority to validate kings. They were mystical figures from the order of the Chaldeans and were highly influential in their culture. Interestingly, they were also known as stargazers, capable of interpreting the signs of the times and seasons. These kingmakers came from the east of Judea, specifically from the Persian Empire, known today as Iran. They traveled along the Silk Road, a route through which valuable items were traded, including gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Learn more about Z Ministries by following the link below:
https://linktr.ee/zministries

Next, Joseph discusses the connection between the Magi and the Chaldeans. He points out that the prophet Daniel had a significant influence on the Magi. The magicians and astrologers mentioned in Daniel 1:20 refer to the Chaldeans. Daniel had been placed in charge of these magicians and astrologers in Babylon because he proved to be ten times better than them, thanks to his excellent spirit. Moreover, Joseph notes that the Magi were considered the most elite special force in the world and traveled a long distance to acknowledge the birth of Jesus.

Additionally, Joseph explains why Herod trembled at the visit of the Magi and the gifts they brought. These gifts were rare and precious, suitable only for kings. Their arrival caused great anxiety in Herod's heart and throughout Jerusalem, as people realized that a great king was about to be born.

March 3, 2025
