YouTube Description
as posted by the channelKids love science projects, especially when they're "out of this world." So imagine how stoked Dry Creek Elementary was after getting a rare chance to launch a weather balloon into the stratosphere yesterday.
On-board cameras show the balloon catch a piece of the jet stream. It sailed high into the stratosphere, to an altitude of 75,000 feet. It captured striking views of the darkness of space and the curvature of the earth.
But, what goes up must come down. The cameras attached to the balloon captured the moment it popped and began falling back toward earth. The moment makes for some special video footage.
