1:45Now PlayingAn Aurora man faces a murder charge after police found evidence that he fatally poisoned his wife, the Aurora Police Department said.
Police arrested James Craig, 45, on Sunday morning on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Angela, on March 18. Craig is a dentist at Summerbrook Dental Group in Aurora, according to the practice's website.
According to an arrest affidavit, Craig used an office computer to research and buy "undetectable poisons," and he bought crystalline metalloid arsenic from Amazon on Feb. 27 – about three weeks before his wife's death.
Angela Craig was transported to a hospital three times – on March 6, March 9 and March 15 – after becoming faint and dizzy. A witness told police that before the first hospitalization, Craig had made a protein shake for his wife after they had worked out. On the second hospitalization, medical personnel were unable to determine what was causing her symptoms, the affidavit says.
