This is according to a letter sent to ICE officials and several Senate committees based on interviews with women detained in Louisiana and Georgia.
The women said they were put in solitary confinement, got substandard medical care, were shackled, and received poor quality meals while they were pregnant or miscarrying.
The letter was signed by several organizations, including the ACLU, which are also calling for ICE to release all pregnant women and stop detaining people who are pregnant, postpartum, or nursing.
