0:53Now PlayingThe Salvation Army Intermountain Division this week notified state officials that it intends to layoff 93 employees in Denver at the end of this year.
On Wednesday, the organization filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notice – or WARN notice – with the state of Colorado indicating its plans.
The layoff of the 93 employees is set for Dec. 31 and spans 38 different occupations, both part-time and full-time employees, Jennifer Forker, the communications and marketing director of The Salvation Army Intermountain Division, told the Denver Business Journal.
The move, according to The Salvation Army, comes after the organization told the Denver City Council that it would no longer manage three homeless shelters next year.
