Lone Tree City Council approved the development plan for a King Soopers Marketplace within the RidgeGate planned community on the east side of Interstate 25 at RidgeGate Parkway last year.
The 17-acre site includes a 123,000-square-foot King Soopers grocery store, a gas station, and six stand-alone commercial buildings. The site is located between RidgeGate Parkway (eastbound) on the south and RidgeGate Parkway (westbound) on the north.
Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2026, with King Soopers and shop openings projected for 2027, developers announced.
King Soopers will host a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, April 10, at 10:30 a.m.
“King Soopers is excited to continue growing in Douglas County with a new location in the RidgeGate community,” said Jessica Trowbridge, Head of Public Affairs at King Soopers. “This store allows us to expand access to fresh, affordable, and delicious food through a convenient one-stop shopping experience. We look forward to serving our neighbors, creating new jobs, and further strengthening our connection to the community.”
