as posted by the channelAs calm begins to return to areas in Mexico where members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) set fire to vehicles and properties, U.S. federal law enforcement officials say there likely won’t be any violence in the U.S. but hope drug trafficking will decrease.
Over the weekend, Mexican forces killed the founder and leader of the CJNG, Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, also known as “El Mencho,” which prompted cartel members to set fire to gas stations and vehicles in parts of Mexico, including in the popular tourist region of Puerto Vallarta.
