2:07:52Now PlayingDenver will see wildfire smoke return late on Monday, drifting in from fires burning in Utah. A cold front will move through Monday night, with a notable rush of wind along with a new, heavier influx of wildfire smoke — this time from fires burning in the Pacific Northwest. 9NEWS Weather Impact Team meteorologist Chris Bianchi said smoke will be very noticeable Tuesday and is expected to linger into Wednesday, even as it helps cool temperatures down to about 80 degrees Tuesday.
The smoke is forecast to clear by Thursday, but temperatures will rebound, climbing back near 100 degrees Thursday through Saturday. No meaningful rain is expected for the Denver area after Monday night. Bianchi said the region's monsoon pattern, bringing more widespread showers and storms, is not expected to resume until early next week.
