The Dreaming which brings together First Nation people from around the world: Pacific islanders, from Fiji, Tonga, Cook Islands, Samoa, Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands join people from North and South America, Africa, and the Caribbean.

The festival is also a showcase of the diversity of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. This is a celebration of the survival of the oldest cultures on earth, with music and dance, theatre and stories, art and workshops, where visitors to the festival interact with artists who, in turn, share their cultural knowledge, in an inspiring exchange of ideas and understanding.
