每年三四月份的墨尔本是喜剧的天堂。从著名的联邦广场到中心位置的市政厅，来自世界各地的脱口秀笑星和滑稽喜剧演员云集墨尔本的年度盛事--国际喜剧节， 吸引了数十万游客和居民观看演出，许多场次的演出往往一票难求。
今年墨尔本国际喜剧节又创下一项新的纪录—参加本届盛会的亚裔喜剧演员数量创下历史新高。这其中不仅包括迅速蹿红的本土华裔喜剧演员，诸如Lawrence Leung和黄玮王亭（Jennifer Wong），还有来自香港、新加坡、马来西亚、印度、韩国的喜剧明星在澳大利亚的舞台上璀璨登场。
正如一位脱口秀明星所说，让满剧场或整个广场的观众捧腹大笑本就不是一件容易的事情。而让法国人或印度人会心大笑的笑料是否同样也能激发澳大利亚观众的笑点？这是参加本次国际喜剧节的演员们面临的一道难题。而常年在世界各地演出的亚裔笑星们对此颇有心得，在采访中他们和我们分享了能够笑翻不同文化观众的秘诀。
