Brian Griffiths, 96, and Geoff Winspear, 88, are descendants of the earliest shipbuilders in the area and in fact some of the earliest in Northern Tasmania. They share a lifelong friendship and a love of Muddy Creek.
An annual tradition has been to take their dogs for a row on birthdays, checking out the storied old wooden boats they are trying to outlive.
