Western Australia could be on the cusp of becoming a premier mountain bike destination.
Hundreds of kilometres of new mountain bike trails are planned or have been recently built at locations across the state.
A lot of the focus is around the South West and Peel regions where some of the biggest public trails are planned.
The network of tracks will cater for all abilities and will wind through pristine forest, valleys and waterways.
In a few years time the town of Collie will be almost surrounded by trails and it is hoped the length and variety will attract interstate and international visitors once COVID restrictions ease.
